1.What is the "Search for the Happiest Pinoy" all about?

It is about recognizing and celebrating the Filipino innate spirit of optimism, resilience and hope. The Search also aims to complement Cebuana Lhuillier Insurance Solutions' (CLIS) thrust in highlighting the benefits of obtaining insurance - peace of mind, security, freedom from worry and fear, contentment, etc. A person with these positive attributes demonstrates happiness. Ultimately, quality insurance protection at affordable premiums offered by CLIS reinforces happiness.


2. Who can be nominated? Who can nominate? Can self-nomination be allowed?

Any Filipino of legal age (18 years old and above), good moral character and residing in the Philippines may be nominated by any Filipino, group or organization. Self-nomination is discouraged.


3. How can nomination be made?

Fill out the nomination form which can be downloaded from the campaign's official website, www.happiest-pinoy.com, obtained from the nearest Cebuana Lhuillier Pawnshop branch, or cut out from the Philippine Daily Inquirer and BusinessMirror, the campaign's official media partners. Accomplished nomination forms may be uploaded to this website (www.happiest-pinoy.com) or sent to the CLIS head office, 821 A. Spring St. corner J.P.Rizal Sts., Makati City.


4. When is the deadline of submission of entries?

All Nominations Forms must be submitted on or before December 31, 2009.


5. How is the "Happiest Pinoy?" selected?

Carefully-selected members of the Board of Judges from the academe, government, business, entertainment and media known for their integrity, competence and credibility will select the Top 5 Finalists. The Top 5 Finalists will be announced in Philippine Daily Inquirer and BusinessMirror, and will be notified via e-mail, snail mail and telephone. They may also be interviewed by the members of the Board of Judges. Announcement and awarding of winner is on January 2010.


6. What are the prizes at stake for the Top 5 Finalists?

The four (4) Runners-Up will each receive P25,000.00 (tax-free) and the "Happiest Pinoy" winner will receive P200,000.00 (tax-free).


7. What are the duties of the "Happiest Pinoy" winner?

The "Happiest Pinoy" winner must maintain an attitude, public personality or lifestyle consistent with the thrust of the campaign.
